Classification of Sealing Materials

Sealing Material

Building waterproof sealing materials can be divided into stereotyped sealing materials and indefinite informational sealing materials according to their appearance and shape.

Stereotyped sealing materials include: sealing strips, sealing tapes, gaskets, water-stop tapes, etc .: a material that does not impose a penalty, commonly known as sealing paste, sealant, etc.

Unshaped sealing materials can be divided into multiple groups of two-component and single-component types. Among them, the multi-component and two-component sealing materials are uniformly monitored at the construction site, and the mixed chemical reaction is used to achieve the purpose of hardening. The single-component sealing material is used in the chemical reaction of the sealing material and moisture in the air or T drying effect to achieve the purpose of hardening.

Sealing materials are classified according to material, then building waterproof sealing materials can be divided into three categories: asphalt sealing materials, modified asphalt sealing materials and polymer sealing materials.

Sealing materials are classified according to performance and can be divided into three categories: high modulus, medium modulus and low modulus.

Sealing materials are classified according to product use, and can be divided into concrete jointing materials (with roof, wall, and bottom); coiled material overlapping sealing materials; building structural seals and non-structural seals, and roads, bridges and other sealing materials.
